Mallaluka Cabernet Franc 2021
Sam Leyshon has well and truly taken Mallaluka into great places, while still maintaining the vision of his dad, and producing fine, extremely high value wines. There is a genuineness and integrity to these wines, that reflect where they come from.
Notes from the Leyshon family:
Mallaluka vineyard fruit. 100% carbonic maceration for 21 days, then fermented using indigenous yeasts. 50% basket pressed into stainless steel and 50% into seasoned French oak puncheons. Blended before bottling. No fining or filtration.
Powerful, wild & punchy on the nose, then fades away beautifully in the mouth to a juicy, softer and less dense finish compared to previous releases. Drink at room temperature and mop it up with salty charcuterie.
