Latta What a Melon 2021

Owen Latta is the guy who took over winemaking for his parents at the ripe age of 15 for Eastern Peake, making some of the finest wines to come out of Victoria. Now with his own label, Latta Vino, he dabbles in all kinds of vinous experiments.

What a melon indeed! This is a veritable supergroup of varietals: Sangiovese, nebbiolo, pinot noir and pinot gris. All made without any kind of classic method. It is a wild ride, punchy, tropical, juicy, plenty of guava, plenty of drinkability. Holy hell.
