Brought to us by Xavier Goodridge, this fresh collab with Brisbane indie royalty The Jungle Giants is a red and white blend concocted by the band themselves via Zoom. Named after their upcoming album 'Love Signs' (out 23 July), The Jungle Giants’ wine is a combination of skin contact sauvignon blanc, and light cabernet, blended by the band to the tune of 40% & 60% respectively.
It could be described as a full-flavoured rosé, or a revitalising light red, with lush tropical fruits coming from the sauv, and wild berry and herbal notes brought in by the cabernet. The cab is treated with a bit of Carbonic Maceration meaning it was fermented whole berry within its own skin, giving it that grape-hubba-bubba smashability while being fermented totally dry. The sauvignon had 10 days on skins, which offers a bit more of that grip and iced-tea like feel and flavour.
