Frank Cornelissen Munjebel Rosso Blend 2019
Cult favourite Frank Cornelissen, highly regarded amongst the natural wine community for years for his volcanic terroir-driven wines and his no-holds-barred approach to making them crossed over into the mainstream conscious after Action Bronson became very vocal about his appreciation of the wines, especially the Susucaru.
This is the flagship release, wrangling the local variety of nerello mascalese into a very serious wine. If the aforementioned Susucaru is Bronson, then this is Ghostface Killah, there are similarities, but there's a little more depth here, explosive flavour and that volcanic minerality really shines through. Cook everything over a fire and drink this. This vintage is a little lighter on it's feet but still packs a punch.
