Le Coste Bianco 2017
Le Coste, from the north of Lazio, look after 14 hectares of land, rich in volcanic mineral soil. Their wines are always full of unbridled energy, great persistence and shattering dynamics.
This is made up of the local grape Procanico, which spends a decent amount of time on skins, then a gentle hand to bottle. It is both complex, and brutally thirst quenching. This is an orange wine, plugged into a wall of Orange amps, you get taken deep into the stratosphere of earthly delights, Waterloo Sunsets, Tangerine and searing licks. But just when you think it's all getting unhinged, the groove comes back in, the finish is long, and so satisfying. More Mars Volta sound, and At the Drive-In energy. This is a wine for radical thinking, and maximum drinking.
